City of Roslyn Library Levy

The City of Roslyn proposes a ballot measure to provide sustainable funding for public library services.

Approval of Proposition 1 would help fund the City of Roslyn Public Library. If approved, Proposition 1 would authorize an increase in the City’s regular property tax levy by approximately $0.25/$1,000 of assessed valuation, to a total levy rate of $1.50 /$1,000, as allowed by Chapter 84.55 RCW.

The approximately $89,362 in additional levy  funds would be deposited into the general fund and would be used for City of Roslyn Public Library services.

Approval of Proposition 1 would cost the owner of a median-valued $500,000 Roslyn home about $_125.00____ additional per year, or approximately $__10.42___ per month.  The levy amount collected in 2027 would be used to calculate subsequent levy limits.  Seniors, disabled veterans, and others may be exempt, per Chapter 84.36 RCW.
