ART IN THE LIBRARY
Submission Guidelines
The Roslyn Library hosts a rotating art exhibition series featuring local artists, building on the library’s tradition of supporting community creativity. Exhibits will be on display in public areas during regular library hours.
How to Submit
Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis. Exhibits run approximately two months, and artists must be willing to display their work for the full duration.
Submissions are reviewed monthly, and artists will be contacted once a decision is made.

Submissions are reviewed monthly, and artists will be contacted once a decision is made.
Who Can Submit
Open to both full and part-time residents of Kittitas County. Artists of all experience levels are welcome.
What Can Be Submitted
Accepted mediums include:
Fiber arts
Paintings
Photography
Mixed media
Note: We cannot exhibit video art or sculpture due to equipment and space limitations.
Installation & Display
Artists must participate in the installation of their work.
For group shows, the Roslyn Library Art Committee will allocate wall space for each participating artist
Artwork must be ready to hang or display (wires, hanging hardware, or another professional method–no sawtooth hangers).
Artwork must be removed from the library within a week after the end of the show.
Sales & Liability
Artists handle all sales independently. The library does not take commission.
The Roslyn Library does not insure artwork and is not responsible for loss, damage, or theft. All risk and responsibility remain with the artist.
Community Engagement
Each exhibit includes an opening reception, and artists are encouraged to attend.
Selection Criteria
Presentation & Readiness
Artwork must be ready to hang or display (wires, hanging hardware, or another professional method–no sawtooth hangers).
3D pieces, if accepted, must be stable and safe for public spaces.
Eligibility
Artists must be at least part-time residents of Kittitas County.
Selected artists must submit the entire body of work intended for displayed via email prior to installation.
A group show will be planned annually. Individual artists may submit up to three pieces for consideration.

Logistics
Artists are responsible for delivery, installation participation, and pick-up of their work.
Shows will run for approximately two months on dates set by the library.
The library may decline work that is not ready to hang or differs substantially from the submitted images.
