Summer Reading Starts June 18th
Come join the fun of Summer Reading! Each Thursday at 11:00am, we will have story time and a fun craft project for the kids! This summer’s theme is “Unearth a Story” so each week will be related to this theme. Mark your calendars! June 18th - July 23rd. 11am - 12:00pm.
Reception with Michael Stone Tuesday, June 2nd
New art in the library! Come celebrate Michael Stone’s photography at a reception at the library, Tuesday, June 2nd from 5:30pm - 7pm. Michael says of his work: “ I use my digital camera and photoshop to create my view of the world as I see it. Some images are made with digital collages and some with digital paint or both together.”
Check Out our New Seed Library!!
Come in and gets some seeds from your neighbors’ gardens, and share some of your own if you have some! We have screens to separate out the seeds and envelopes too. We’ve got lots of acorn squash, beets, peas, and beans, even some wildflower seeds.
New Travel Books
Dreaming of your next trip and need some ideas? We just got several new travel books from 50 Places to Travel Solo to a World Travel book that lists every country. And if you just want to stick around this summer, how about checking out the Complete Hiking Guide to the Alpine Lakes Wilderness?! A great resource written by two local brothers.
New! Jigsaw Puzzle Exchange
We’re starting a new Jigsaw Puzzle Exchange! Bring one take one, or just take one and bring it back. ; ) We’re going to test out the interest in it and will expand the collection as needed! Let us know the kind of puzzles you like…easy peasy or stay up all night to finish the thousand piece blue sky kind?!!
Seussapalooza was a hit!

How to Start a Vegetable Garden

Come get inspired and learn how to start a vegetable garden! Instructor Barbara Raabe is the President of the Kittitas County Master Gardener program.
New Board Games Group Starting Friday, Feb. 27th
Do you like to play board games? The Roslyn Library is starting a board game group on Friday, February 27th! Bring your favorite board game or choose from one we have at the library.
The group is geared toward ages 12 and up. Call the library, 509-649-3105 for more information.

Silent Book Club

New Art in the Library: Paintings by Kathi Butorac
Please join us at a reception for artist Kathi Butorac this Tuesday, January 6th, from 5:30pm to 7pm at the Roslyn Public Library. The exhibit will remain up from January 6 to February 23. Admission is free.
